Larissa Yossefi P.M.H.N.P.

Larissa Yossefi is a New York licensed, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with expertise treating patients of all age groups who struggle with trauma, mood, anxiety, attention, and postpartum disorders. With over 22 years of experience working with children and adults in a wide variety of settings that includes inpatient, day hospital, and outpatient programs, Larissa brings a robust educational background and extensive practical experience to our practice. Larissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Tel Aviv University, and she earned her advanced degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Molloy College in Long Island, NY. She has served as a clinical psychiatric nurse specialist and nurse educator in Israel, as a registered nurse assessor at the Bridge Back to Life Center at Zucker Hillside Hospital in Long Island, as an adjunct faculty mental health educator for nursing students in mental health at Molloy College in Long Island, as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with the Office of Mental Health (OMH) and OASAS in New York, and as an outpatient private practice mental health nurse practitioner in Roslyn, NY. She maintains privileges at Sagamore Child Psychiatric Center and is highly trained in child, adolescent, and adult medication management and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Her continuing dedication to excellence led her to receive recognition with the Patricia McGee Scholarship for Nurse Educators. Larissa is committed to helping all of her patients to thrive by utilizing a personalized, evidence-based, patient-centered approach to treatment that may include medication, psychotherapy, or a combination of modalities, depending on the particular needs of each individual. She aims to foster open communication and mutual respect to create a warm and welcoming environment for all patients, parents, and family systems.
