Education

Dr. Sarah Cohen attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated Cum Laude. She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Cohen completed both her general psychiatry residency and her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. As Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry there, Dr. Cohen remains closely involved in the psychiatric training program where she teaches the Working with Parents course and supervises extensively.


AreaS of Expertise

Dr. Cohen is specialized in child, adolescent, and young adult psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. She brings deep expertise across a range of childhood psychiatric conditions, with particular focus on anxiety, attentional and disruptive behavior disorders, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and ARFID. Dr. Cohen is passionate about partnering with parents to strengthen their confidence and effectiveness in supporting their children, and she has a special talent for guiding adolescents and young adults through life's biggest transitions.
